It's Christmas Eve. The miser Scrooge and his assistant Bob Cratchit finish their work in the office and go home. When Scrooge is going to open his front door, he sees the face of Marley's ghost in the door knocker. Inside he takes on his night dress, eats his supper, and falls asleep at the table. Marly's ghost shows Scrooge a vision of himself at a Christmas in the past. Then the ghost escorts him to the present Christmas, and the homes and families of Bob Cratchit and Fred, where Scrooge sees Bob and Fred drink to him in his absence. At last the ghost shows Scrooge the Christmas that might be. Here Scrooge has to face his own grave and the death of Tiny Tim. Confronted with this Scrooge regrets his callousness and egoism. A British fantasy film directed by Walter R. Booth. It's the oldest known adaptation of Charles Dickens' novel A Christmas Carol. Only 620 feet have survived (approximately 5m 30s) which is preserved by the British Film Institute who have made the footage available online.

Marty Simmons interrupts the shooting of Frank Bailey's latest Christmas picture, fires Bailey, puts his own director (Toby) on the job to turn it into a teen sex comedy. Driving back home, Marty listens to the radio (Jackie Rogers Jr and the Queenhaters), swerves to avoid Bailey in the road, hits his head, and enters the surreal town of Krebbsville. Going My Way: Entering a church to get some help, he finds Bing Crosby directing some choirboys. No one can see him. Father Fitzgibbons enters with the sad news that Krebbs has pulled the plug on the orphanage. Bailey (who can see him) shows up and gives Marty a tour of the town. Miracle on 34th Street: At Krebb's Department Store, Santa Claus is fired for not pushing the right products. A Christmas Carol: Into the town cinema, Marty watches himself enter A Christmas Carol on the screen to witness several of Krebbs' former acquaintances vying to make money from his death in Dickensian England, and then goes into the street for Krebb's funeral procession. Inevitably he finds that Krebbs is himself. He wakes up and mends his ways. An extraordinarily happy ending ensues.
