In this sequel, a couple must use a portal through time to defeat evil. Mark and Sarah survive to the fire in the wax museum, but Sarah is followed by a severed hand that kills her father. Sarah becomes the prime suspect and goes to trial. Mark and Sarah search evidence to prove her innocence and they go to Sir Wilfred's house. They find a footage prepared by Sir Wilfred with a puzzle based of the Alice and the Looking Glass. They solve the puzzle and find a compass that opens portals through time. They travel to the most different places in time seeking something to help Sarah in her trial in a dangerous journey. Having survived the events of Waxwork (1988), Mark and Sarah find themselves on trial for the murder of Sarah's father, a crime actually committed by a disembodied hand. Looking for the hand, the couple end up at the home of Sir Wilfred where a device he's built allows them to leap through time and space to a parallel dimension where fictional characters from books and films are all too real.

They are to meet Dr. Bleeb of the Museum of Natural History, but get sidetracked with their new children friends and run into the Captain's evil brother, Professor Screw Eyes, who has other plans for the dinosaurs.

Today's lesson: "It's important to acknowledge your mistakes, learn from them and try to do better next time." /// Weird Al turns his clock radio into a time machine, which comes in handy when he realizes he's forgotten Harvey the Wonder Hamster's birthday. The trouble is, he keeps going back 30 minutes in time and then makes a dumb mistake that requires him to go back 30 more minutes in time in order to correct it. Al ticks off the electric company, gets bitten by a radioactive lobster, infuriates Bobby the Inquisitive Boy, enrages Teri Garr, accidentally shaves off part of his head, and gets tripped by a Russian Cossack dancer before realizing that time travel is not the best way to correct a mistake. Meanwhile, Al shows Bobby the black and white educational film, "Mind Your Manners"; takes a nutrition break that includes nachos made from frozen waffles and sardines; and sings Harvey a birthday song about Yoda...
