On an isolated asteroid Ulysses meets an old, blind, scholar called Heratos and his assistant, a young Zotrian woman named Atena. Heratos gives Ulysses a map that will lead him beyond the galactic glaciers - or so he claims. The Odyssey picks up a transmission from a young woman of the same race as Yumi. Ulysses and the children travel to an asteroid where the Zotrian woman, Atena, lives with an old, blind, archaeologist called Heratos. Heratos tells Ulysses that he found Atena aboard a spacecraft of a type he had never seen before and when he found her he also saw a strange black sphere aboard the ship. When he tried to pick it up it showed him star charts that showed a path beyond the galactic glaciers that mark the boundary between Olympus and another galaxy - Earth's galaxy. But the gods blinded him for seeing such information. Heratos gives Ulysses a map that will allow him to find a way through the glaciers - but the gods have already made Heratos an offer that he cannot refuse and which will condemn the crew of the Odyssey to be stranded in space forever.

Guardian of the Cosmic Winds

Aeolus, the King of the Winds, kidnaps Ulysses so that he may provide entertainment for his daughter at her birthday party. However, she is horrified by her father's cruel sport and plans to help Ulysses escape. The Odyssey is seized by a mysterious power and drawn into a curious metallic planet. Ulysses, Nono and the children are held prisoner by Aeolus, the master of the cosmic winds. It is the birthday of Aeolus' only daughter, Aeolia, and her father intends for his prisoners to provide the entertainment for his family and their guests - despite his daughters pleas for him to free them. When Telemachus reveals the identity of his father, Aeolus offers Ulysses the chance to not only free the children but also find a way home. If Ulysses is victorious in a series of games against the four winds then he will win a treasure chest containing a powerful gem that has the power to transport them back to Earth.

The Eternal Punishment

Ulysses encounters King Sisyphus who, as punishment for seeking the secret of immortality, has been condemned by the gods to fill a crater with 'boulders' made out of scrap metal for all eternity. But Zeus has made Sisyphus a deal. The Odyssey encounters a curious desert world and detects life, so, Ulysses sets out in one of the shuttle-craft to investigate. Down on the world below labors Sisyphus, once the King of Corinth. Sisyphus angered the gods by seeking the secret of immortality, and as punishment he has been sentenced to clear balls of scrap metal into a pit under the blazing heat of seven suns. Zeus makes Sisyphus an offer, if he can find someone to take his place then he can leave and return home. So when Ulysses lands Sisyphus knocks him out and steals his shuttle. Once on board the Odyssey, Telemachus manages to persuade Sisyphus to go back for his father - but they cannot find him. They then discover the truth about Sisyphus' punishment.

Flowers of Fear

Ulysses encounters a seemingly lifeless world. He discovers that its people were once famed for their medical technology, prompting Yumi to take her brother Numinor there to revive him. But the gods have left a nasty surprise. The Odyssey discovers a planet that is technologically advanced but shows no signs of life. Ulysses launches a probe to investigate - which discovers that the whole planet is one vast reanimation hospital. Realising that they could use this technology to reanimate the companions, Ulysses and his son Telemachus go to the planet to investigate. But when Yumi hears about the planets potential she and Nono load her brother, Numinor, onto a shuttle and also travel to the planet to try and revive him. However, Ulysses uncovers a message from one of the planets original inhabitants telling how they drew energy for their reanimation process from Olympus itself, earning the wrath of the gods who scattered seeds on the planet which grew into deadly flowers.

Mutiny on Board

Ulysses and the children are amazed when, during a space storm, the lifeless crew are suddenly revived. However, their joy is short lived as their family and friends are under the influence of the gods and try to crash the ship. The Odyssey enters an area of high electromagnetic energy and as the ship is hit by a cosmic storm the companions are brought back to life. However, the joy of Ulysses and the children is short-lived as their friends attack them and take control of the ship. Yumi uses her telepathic powers to connect with her brother, Numinor, and discovers that the companions are being controlled by the gods and that they have been ordered to take the Odyssey to the reefs of space and crash the ship there. Ulysses attempts to use the ships robots to break into the bridge while Yumi tries to free her brother from the influence of the gods - who have laid a trap for them at the reefs.

Secret of the Sphinx

The Odyssey is traveling through an area of space that is the domain of the Great Sphinx. Ulysses must answer his riddle to gain safe passage. But the Sphinx's daughter proves to be more of a threat to Ulysses and the children. The Odyssey is hit by a giant column of light that sucks it into a strange space station covered in pyramids. There Ulysses and the children meet the Sphinx and his daughter. The Sphinx gives Ulysses a riddle to solve. If he can answer the riddle correctly he is free to go on his way, but if he is incorrect he will be given to the Sphinx's daughter. She is contacted by Zeus and becomes determined to have Ulysses irrespective of whether he answers her father's riddle and so she tricks Telemachus into entering a forbidden area of her father's realm - which houses the Mirror of Truth.

When the Odyssey is attacked by a fleet of the gods trident spaceships, Ulysses and his crew are saved by an intervention from Cronus, the god of time. However, the god has his own reasons for saving the life of Ulysses. The Odyssey comes under a devastating attack from the Trident fighter ships of the gods and is almost destroyed. However, the attack occurred within the Kingdom of Cronus, Father of Time and he intervenes by reversing the damage to the ship. Cronus summons Ulysses to him but throws the hero into prison, places Telemachus and Yumi in a time lock where they begin to age rapidly and the two-faced god also accelerates time aboard the Odyssey so that the bodies of the companions begin to age too. Cronus has long been banished from the Kingdom of Olympus and Cronus hopes to strike a deal with Zeus to exchange Ulysses for the end of his exile. How can Ulysses and his crew escape from time itself?

Temple of the Lestrigrones

The Odyssey and its crew are shrunk to miniature size by a beam of energy from a tropical planet. The tiny heroes must try to force the planet's ruler to restore them back to their normal size while avoiding his giant pet cat. A strange beam of light hits the Odyssey as it approaches a tropical planet. First the crew then the ship itself shrink to miniature size and the Odyssey crash lands into the ocean. Ulysses flies underwater in one of the shuttle-craft but becomes trapped inside a giant oyster - which begins turning his craft into a pearl. Telemachus takes another shuttle and goes in search of his father and finds a graveyard of other miniature spaceships upon the seabed. Telemachus' craft and some of the other ships are scooped up in a fisherman's net and soon after a native woman, pearl diver prises open the oyster and gets the pearl containing Ulysses shuttle. Both the fisherman and the pearl diver take their finds to the ruler of the planet, Antipodes, who keeps a menagerie of shrunken creatures in his temple which houses the prism he used to shrink the Odyssey.

The Seat Of Forgetfulness

Ulysses follows one of the Trident Transports to the home of the gods - Olympus itself. There the gods test him and he will see The Three Fates at work. But Zeus makes Ulysses a terrible offer, choose Earth or the children. When the Odyssey is passed by one of the remote controlled Trident Transport vessels Ulysses decides to follow it. The Odyssey follows the pilot-less ship all the way to the home of the gods, Olympus itself. Zeus orders Ulysses and the children to leave immediately but Ulysses refuses to listen. The group find themselves upon a deadly game board but with Nono's help they manage to escape. They discover what has happened to all those who have entered Olympus before them, a workforce of eternal slaves forced to operate the vast looms of the gods weaving the threads of life for the Three Fates. An immortal army of the dead attacks Ulysses and he becomes separated from the children. The gods then offer him a choice between two seats - one will allow him to return home the other will return the children to him.

Trapped Between Fire and Ice

The Odyssey finds a ship floating lifeless in space, it is from the Earth of 2001. On it they find the Captain in suspended animation and he sends Ulysses in search of a base on one of the deadly twin planets Scylla and Charybdis. The Odyssey picks up an S.O.S. transmission from an old Earth spaceship from the year 2001. Ulysses and the children investigate and find the Captain of the vessel in suspended animation. He wakes and tells Ulysses to go and rescue his crew who are in suspended animation on a base hidden between the twin worlds of Scylla and Charybdis. Ulysses goes off in a shuttle in search of the base while Telemachus and Yumi care for the revived astronaut. The children find a picture of the ships crew, but the Captain is not amongst them. Curious as to where the power for the suspended animation pod is coming from Telemachus finds a hidden chamber bearing the symbol of the gods - the trident. The Odyssey goes to the twin planets to rescue Ulysses but little do they know that the astronaut has hitched a lift on the outside of the Odyssey.

Phantoms of the Swamp

Ulysses and Yumi see a piece of her home world Zotra flying through space. Knowing it could revive her brother, Numinor, they follow it to a swamp planet, but are attacked by monsters that can take on any form - even them. The Odyssey is almost hit by a meteor which Yumi senses is from her home world of Zotra. From their earlier encounter with a moon of Zotra, Yumi knows that it could revive her brother. Ulysses orders the Odyssey to follow it and they see it strike a swamp world. Ulysses and Yumi fly down to the planet in one of the shuttles but are confronted by a group of mud creatures that have camera-like lenses in their foreheads. The creatures use these to capture images of Ulysses and Yumi and begin to take their form. A battle ensues, during which they find a trident symbol on the camera of one of the creatures they have destroyed. When the shuttle returns to the Odyssey, Ulysses orders Telemachus to quickly fly away from the planet while he and Yumi rest. But Telemachus thinks something is wrong and when he tries the radio he finds that the real Ulysses and Yumi are still trapped on the swamp planet.

Song of Danger

Yumi dreams about a strange coffin she opens with her flute playing. Just such a coffin leads them to the planet of the Sirens. But space pirates kidnap the children to force Ulysses and Nono to face the Sirens to get a map. Yumi has a strange dream in which by playing a certain tune on her flute she opens a sealed coffin. Soon after she tells the others about her dream, they encounter a stone coffin next to a wrecked spaceship. Ulysses brings the coffin aboard and Yumi opens it by playing the tune from her dream. Inside is the body of a spaceman clutching a circuit card. When they insert the card into the Odyssey's computer they find that it is a map of the nearby Sirenum system and a message tells of a complete map of Olympus that is guarded by the Sirens. They go in search of the map but when they land on the planet they discover a host of wrecked spaceships and are captured by space pirates. They force Ulysses and Nono to face the Sirens and get the map by holding the children hostage. Can Ulysses resist the Siren's song?

Ulysses and the children land on a planet which is similar to prehistoric Earth. There they meet a winged female called Sauria, whose people live in terror of the Keconopters - a race of strange mutant vulture-like beings. The Odyssey encounters a planet remarkably similar to the prehistoric Earth of 200 million years ago. But when they fly down to the planet their shuttle is attacked by vulture-like creatures. Ulysses and the children are forced to land and take shelter in a cave. Upon exploring the cave they discover that it is the concealed entrance to a subterranean city. Inside the city they find nine large, egg-like objects. Realising that they are laid out like the planets in the solar system, Ulysses opens the third egg - corresponding with Earth. The egg contains a winged female called Sauria who tells them an incredible story.

The Magic Spells of Circe

Ulysses is lured to the planet of the enchantress Circe. She revives the companions, but turns them and the children into pig slaves. Circe sets them to work building a tower that will house all of the knowledge of the universe. Ulysses is lured to the home of the enchantress Circe. Circe revives all of the companions but then turns them and the children into pig-like slaves. Ulysses meets a space captain called Hermes who tells him that all of his crew have been similarly enslaved by Circe and that she is using her slaves to build a tower in which she plans to store all of the knowledge in the universe which will make her more powerful than even the gods. Hermes shows Ulysses how to get to the tower, when he gets there he finds Nono who tells him what has happened to Telemachus and the others - the two of them meet Circe's librarian who is also called Hermes. When Ulysses confronts Circe she asks him to join her as he is the only man to have defied the gods. She offers to free the slaves and give them a map of all Olympus if he stays with her. But Hermes, the messenger of the gods will ensure that does not happen.

Lost In The Labyrinth

Princess Ariadne asks for Ulysses' help in saving her lover Theseus, as her father King Minos has sent him to the Labyrinth. The Odyssey sets off to the Labyrinth but will they be able to find Theseus before the Minotaur does? Ulysses goes to meet King Aegeus whose son Theseus is missing. They consult the Oracle which says that only Ulysses can find the missing Prince and that when he does Ulysses will also discover the way back to Earth. Theseus has been sent to the Labyrinth by King Minos who refuses to allow Theseus to marry his daughter Ariadne. Ariadne steals a ship and vows to join Theseus in the Labyrinth, but pursued by her father's ships she encounters the Odyssey. When she boards Ulysses' ship she explains what has happened and they go to the Labyrinth space station. Ariadne, Ulysses and Yumi enter the Labyrinth to save Theseus from the Minotaur. Telemachus is supposed to stay on board the Odyssey to keep track of where they are in the maze but when Minos' men enter he follows them. Who will reach Theseus first and will Theseus know the way back to Earth?

'The Grandson of the gods' Mercurius asks Ulysses to go on a quest for him. The bubble-dwelling Mercurius wants Ulysses to steal a jewel from the brow of Atlas that would give Mercurius the power to send the Odyssey back to Earth. When Shirka detects galactic glaciers in the path of the Odyssey it makes Ulysses think they are nearing the edge of the Kingdom of Olympus. However, when analyzed the ice is unlike that encountered previously. Yumi senses that Ulysses should investigate the ice but when he takes a shuttle in closer two columns of light appear. Between them floats a strange bubble containing Mercurius - the grandson of the gods. Mercurius makes Ulysses an offer, if the hero helps him he will tell Ulysses how to get back to Earth. Mercurius wants Ulysses to steal 'The Eye of Heaven' a jewel in the forehead of Atlas - who holds up the entire universe on his shoulders. But Ulysses is warned that if he looks into the jewel it will be fatal. So Ulysses enlists the aid of Nono and the two of them climb up the body of the sleeping Atlas. But Yumi senses that the giant's heart has started to beat. Atlas is awakening.

The Hidden Truth

The Odyssey picks up a distress call from Nereus, King of Nereopolis. His planet has been invaded and taken over by the Shark Men, his people enslaved and a mechanical tyrant installed. How can Ulysses help, when he is in prison? The Odyssey detects a distress signal and finds a crippled ship containing a woman called Galatea. She tells Ulysses that she is from the planet Nereopolis, but Shirka translates the distress signal and finds that it actually came from a man called Nereus. At that moment the Odyssey is surrounded by hundreds of Trident ships and Sharkmen hidden in Galatea's ship take control of Ulysses' craft. Ulysses and the children are taken prisoner and are taken to Squalopolis - the new name for Nereopolis. Ulysses' cell mate tells him that Galatea was the daughter of former King Nereus and that she, like most of the population, have had mind control brooches fitted by the Sharkmen. Ulysses tells the old man that Nereus is still alive and the two men plan an escape. Meanwhile, Telemachus and Yumi are taken away to fight in the public games.

The Magician In Black

The most powerful magician in the universe saves Ulysses from attack. The magician then breaks the curse of the gods, reviving Numinor and the crew of the Odyssey. However, in return he makes a terrible demand of Ulysses. While Telemachus is piloting a shuttle the Odyssey comes under attack from Trident ships. Telemachus spots a strange planet nearby that has a large hole in the surface and tells his father to fly the Odyssey into the hole to evade their attackers. Ulysses follows his sons advice but when the Tridents try to follow them they are destroyed. Then the damage to the Odyssey is mysteriously repaired and a voice tells them that they have been aided by The Magician in Black. Ulysses and the children are transported from the ship to the Magician's palace where he tells them that he is more powerful than the gods. When Ulysses asks him to prove his claim by reviving the companions he does so. But Ulysses does not know that the Magician desires payment for his services - in the form of a deadly game.

Rebellion on Lemnos

The women of the planet Lemnos are being forced by the Shark Men to build the Trident ships for the gods. Princess Hypsipyle of Lemnos asks for Ulysses' help. But the children discover that another group also lives on Lemnos. The Odyssey picks up a distress signal from a disabled ship, when Ulysses rescues the pilot she tells them that she is Princess Hypsipyle - daughter of the King of Lemnos. She asks Ulysses to take her to the base on Istria because she seeks help to free the women of Lemnos who have been imprisoned after rebelling against their male masters. She reveals that the women of Lemnos work in the factories making the Trident ships for the Sharkmen, that her father has been imprisoned for her disobedience and that he may know the way to Hades. When the Odyssey reaches Istria they find that the base has been destroyed by the Tridents so go to Lemnos itself. There they find the factories empty, the women imprisoned and the children discover a third group lives on the planet - the Dwarves.

The City of Cortex

The Odyssey is drawn off course and Shirka does not respond to Ulysses. They go to the planet of the machines which is ruled by Cortex, a tyrannical computer. Nanette, a female robot falls in love with Nono and helps them. The Odyssey is drawn off course and Shirka refuses to obey Ulysses' commands stating that "machines only obey machines". Shirka flies the ship to the planet of machines where the ruler of the planet, Cortex, says he wants the Odyssey. The robot inhabitants begin stripping the Odyssey of its robotic components - including Nono. Nono meets, and falls in love with, a golden, female version of himself called Nanette. Ulysses and the children are imprisoned by Cortex - who Nanette says she and the other robots must keep functioning or the consequences will be disastrous. Nono rescues his friends and they go to find the giant computer - Cortex. As they do so they can see that the robots are still dismantling the Odyssey. Can Ulysses and Nono defeat Cortex before the central iris of the Odyssey is removed?
