In the 30th century, time travel becomes illegal after a time paradox crisis. The Time Protection Department (TPD) is established to watch for and stop time crimes. Four new enlistee cadets of the TPD are tricked by Don Dolnero and his gang into letting them time-travel to the year 2000 to commit various crimes and, to protect history, the four cadets pursue them. They encounter a severe problem: the Timeranger program requires five members for the first operation. They force a present-day martial artist, Tatsuya Asami, to join them, and they become the Timerangers. Tatsuya rents a building for them to live in, and they start a small odd-jobs business called Tomorrow Research to financially support themselves. Over time, the four cadets begin to realize that their presence would inevitably change the future in the form of the City Guardians, a security force under the employment of the Asami Corporation to protect the city from the Londers. The City Guardians form a tenuous relationship with the Timerangers, especially when Tatsuya's childhood friend Naoto becomes Time Fire and later the City Guardian's captain.

14 year old Sven is a technical genius, who has rebuilt an old caravan into a radio communication center. Via radio he is in contact with his father, who works at a big ship at the other side of the globe. One day the radio communication is suddenly interrupted by something which sounds like a Latin mass. In school Sven attends a lesson about radio-astronomy. The teacher explains that astronomers can receive radio waves that are thousand years old. Sven understands that the Latin mass he heard was transmitted to him from another age. He gets curious and starts making experiments by connecting his radio kit to bigger aerials. When he sits in the caravan together with his friends Bo and Petra, they not only hear the Latin mass on his radio, but the whole caravan is turned into a time-machine that brings them to the Middle Ages. They get in trouble with some warriors, who capture Petra, while Sven and Bo escape with the help of their time-machine. The two boys have to go back to the Middle Ages once more to rescue Petra, but this time Sven's little sister Hanna has sneaked into the caravan as well. In the Middle Ages some holy men finds Hanna and the caravan, which they think are sent from Heaven. After a sacred ceremony they let the children go, but the event stays in their memory as the Miracle in Valby.

Unwilling time-travel involving an evil antique mirror with unclear glass. In 1978, 20-year-old Shay Garrett is preparing for her upcoming wedding to Marek Weir. Her mother, Rachael (Maddon) Garrett has a pre-wedding talk with her advising her to pull-out as she does not love Marek. Her father Jerry tells her he has unwrapped the mirror that fascinated her much and placed it in her bedroom. At that time, Shay's 98-year-old grandmother Bran is brought into the living-room in a wheelchairwhen she hears Jerry's declaration, she grabs Shay's wrist and utters a very-surprised "mirror." Shay goes into her bedroom and sees the mirror Jerry mentionedan antique with claw-like feet and which is marred by a crackand remembers that it only "fascinated" her due to being quite hideous. As Shay looks at herself in her wedding-veil (which had been passed down from Bran to Rachel to herself), giggling at the strange reflection and wondering what was told to Bran, she hears a sharp exclamation of "no" and discovers its source to be Branwho then utters the name "Corbin" after which the room spins and a vortex grabs Shay.
