Dr. Drakken needs help in using a stolen DNA genome sequencer to create ferocious beasts, so he romances DNAmy (or at least pretends to) in order to secure her assistance. At first DNAmy only wants to use the sequencer to create cute and cuddly creatures, but eventually Drakken persuades her to create something more intimidating. Meanwhile, Kim doesn't want to work with Ron on a science project because she always winds up doing all the work. Instead, she winds up partnered with Justine, a science genius who considers herself so superior to Kim that she wants to do all the work and have Kim stay away. Ron, in turn, is assigned to work with Monique. Monique doesn't want to be stuck doing all the work, but she finds it hard to get Ron to do anything since, unlike Monique, Ron doesn't care about grades.

Two Russians push the wrong button on a strange device and end up on the telepathic planet Pluke with its strange societal norms. A man meets a stranger in Moscow who offers him a teleportation device. When he and a busker accidentally press a button they find themselves transported through time and space to the desert planet Pluke in the Kin-dza-dza galaxy. Kin-Dza-Dza is something like an "advanced cyberpunk film". It's a lot about people and social structures which on the planet of "Pluke" of course have many parallels to our society. It's a very funny movie, but it's also a melancholic movie with great philosophical sense.

Bestselling novel by American science-fiction author Octavia E. Butler. Part time-travel tale and part slave narrative, it was first published in 1979 and is still widely popular; it is regularly chosen as a text for community-wide reading programs and book organizations, as well as being a common choice for high school and college courses. The book is the first-person account of a young African-American woman writer, Dana, who finds herself shuttled between her California home in 1976 and a pre-Civil War Maryland plantation. There she meets her ancestors: a spoiled, self-destructive white slave owner and the proud black freewoman he has forced into slavery and concubinage. As her stays in the past become longer, Dana becomes intimately entangled with the plantation community, making hard compromises to survive slavery and to ensure her existence in her own time. Dana, an African American woman, is inexplicably transported from 1976 Los Angeles to early 19th century Maryland. She meets her ancestors: Rufus, a white slave holder, and Alice, an African-American woman who was born free but forced into slavery later in life.
