A singing mechanic from 1912 finds himself in Arthurian Britain. A bump on the head sends Hank Martin, 1912 mechanic, to Arthurian Britain, 528 A.D., where he is befriended by Sir Sagramore le Desirous and gains power by judicious use of technology. He and Alisande, the King's niece, fall in love at first sight, which draws unwelcome attention from her fiance Sir Lancelot; but worse trouble befalls when Hank meddles in the kingdom's politics.

A modern Connecticut factory worker is transported back in time to the days of King Arthur's Court. CBS aired this animated special produced by Australian company Air Programs International. This program and other API titles that followed were part of CBS' Famous Classic Tales series. Some of the other more popular titles included "A Christmas Carol" and "Tales of Washington Irving." Delta Entertainment released a few of the API-produced Famous Classic Tales on DVD in 2003, and "A Connecticut Yankee in King Arthur's Court" was part of that collection.

In fact, he is a demon hunter whose sole purpose on Earth is to send demons back to the nether regions. John himself has been to Hell - as a young man he too committed suicide and now knows that he is destined to return there on his death - but hopes that his good deeds may somehow find him a place in Heaven. As he looks into Isabel's death, he realizes that demons are trying to break through to the human world and his battles lead him into a direct conflict with Satan.

Dr. Ellie Arroway, after years of searching, finds conclusive radio proof of intelligent aliens, who send plans for a mysterious machine. Astronomer Dr. Ellie Arroway has long been interested in contact to faraway lands, a love fostered in her childhood by her father, Ted Arroway, who passed away when she was nine years old leaving her then orphaned. Her current work in monitoring for extraterrestrial life is based on that love and is in part an homage to her father. Ever since funding from the National Science Foundation (NSF) was pulled on her work, which is referred to some, including her NSF superior David Drumlin, as more science fiction than science, Ellie, with a few of her rogue scientist colleagues, have looked for funding from where ever they could get it to continue their work. When Ellie and her colleagues hear chatter originating from the vicinity of the star Vega, Ellie feels vindicated. But that vindication is short lived when others, including politicians, the military, religious leaders and other scientists such as Drumlin, try to take over her work. When the messages received from space are decoded, the project takes on a whole new dimension, which strengthens for Ellie the quest for the truth. Thrown into the mix are the unknown person who has up until now funded most of Ellie's work and what his motivations are, and Palmer Joss, a renowned author and theologian, who despite their fundamental differences in outlook, is mutually attracted to Ellie, that attraction based in part on intellect and their common goal of wanting to know the truth.

Kiera's pretense of being a Portland police officer doesn't last very long and she soon finds herself under arrest. She manages to get free and with young Alec Sadler's help, creates a profile for herself that convinces the police that she is a government agent so deep undercover that that they can't possibly figure out who she really works for. She knows that the members of Liber8 are trying to return to their own time and she has every intention of traveling along with them and reuniting with her son. Their first attempt fails but when Liber8 kidnap a university physicist, Kiera knows exactly where to find them. Meanwhile, one member of the terrorist group has decided to stay and not return to his own time.

Kiera and Carlos investigate two deaths where the victims have had large cylindrical holes incised into the backs of their necks. A review of the victims' DNA reveal a special gene, one that would be used in a futuristic super-soldier. In fact, the victims' pituitary glands have been removed. Unknown to Kiera, Travis is quite ill and the glands are needed to synthesize a cure. He's on his death bed however leading some in the group to start jockeying for position in the hopes of replacing him. One of the group arranges to meet Kiera but it may just be a trap.

Kiera and Carlos investigate the murder of a Professor Ames who was experimenting with a high energy device. It's apparent that the weapon used to kill him is quite advanced and Kiera believes that it could be the work of Liber8. His graduate student, Shane Mathers offers to help them but finds that all of the professor's files were stolen. They suspect Dr. Melissa Dobeck, a former partner who split with Ames after a disagreement over ownership of the intellectual property, but she denies having anything to do with it. They hit a brick wall when the military takes over their case on national security grounds. Meanwhile Liber8's leader, Edouard Kagame suddenly arrives in the present. He's taken to hospital but quickly sets out to find others in his group. No one knows why he didn't arrive at the same time as the others and for that matter if anyone else from the future may also be here. Kellog has made a fortune in the stock market - a little advance knowledge can go a long way - and is enjoying his new-found wealth. He extends a helping hand to Maddie, paying off the mortgage on her house. She thinks he may be coming on to her but he assures her that's not the case - in fact, Maddie is his grandmother, though he doesn't tell her that.

Edouard Kagame has a plan to get rid of Kiera once and for all: by killing her grandmother Lily Cole so that Kiera will never be born. The first woman they kill by the name of Lilly Cole turns out to be the wrong woman and when Kiera hears the news she knows exactly what he's up to. She sets out to find her grandmother but isn't quite ready for the pregnant and homeless punk she finds living on the street. Kellogg gives her a heads up but a suspicious Kagame has already taken out insurance against him. The game they are playing soon becomes tit for tat with no possible winner.
